Crosshill House creates a wonderful backdrop for special occasions. We pride ourselves in attention to detail and all those special little touches which make your time with us memorable.

Our five guest rooms are perfect for groups of guests staying for small, intimate occasions such as wedding preparations, special birthdays, and other events to remember.

There are a selection of small, local businesses which specialise in all aspects of event management including flowers, vintage cars and marquee hire which are happy to work with you to make your special day everything you could wish for.

Helen, the bride above left and in the top row with her parents, says:

"I stayed with Roberta with my family in her B&B the four days leading up to my wedding in the village of Laxton.  I would highly recommend anyone to stay there and if you are getting married in the local area, it is an ideal place to stay.  She was so hospitable and the rooms were a good size, very clean, well furnished and the bed was so comfortable! The food she offered was very high quality ( I loved having smoked salmon for breakfast 3 days in a row!) She was very flexible for our needs and did everything she could to make the lead up to the wedding as stress free as possible. On the day, she got up early to beautifully decorate the outside of the B&B in the colours of my bridesmaid dresses to enhance the photos. It looked absolute stunning and the beautiful hanging baskets and flower pots finished the look. 

On the wedding night, myself and my husband had arranged to stay in her annex.  This was very modern and, again, carefully and effectively furnished.  The shower was really powerful and very clean. She had taken the trouble to decorate the annex with newly wedded banners, rose petals and a lovely soap gift on the pillows. All in all, I could not have asked more from her.  She really helped make the days before my wedding and the day itself so memorable. I cannot recommend her enough."

Marion, Helen's mother, third from left in the top row, wrote:

"When our daughter decided to get married in Laxton, where her fiancé Jamie was from, I wondered how we would cope with getting her and seven bridesmaids as well as ourselves ready for the big day???? I started looking at hiring cottages, then we went to visit and looked at the B and Bs in the village.
Crosshill House was perfect. It had beautiful grounds; was clean tidy and had enough space for all the immediate family. I asked Roberta if she would mind bridesmaids etc. coming to get ready and she was more than happy to accommodate us (not sure she really appreciated the scale of things at the time!) so I felt happy and booked the whole place from the Wednesday through to Sunday.
It was perfect. The breakfasts were wonderful; Roberta could not have been more accommodating; we had the run of the place and every day there were extras lunching and drinking on the patio. We provided the food and wine but Roberta supplied the plates, glasses etc. I felt very at home and relaxed.
On the morning of the wedding, Roberta had been up at 5am to decorate the fences with co-ordinating coloured bows. It was magical and I had not had to clean or do anything! Even the flowers in the garden complemented the wedding party!
It made the wedding so relaxed knowing that Roberta was totally supportive all the way. I cannot recommend Crosshill House highly enough either just for a pleasant stay or for a function. I certainly hope to be back and feel that Roberta is now a friend."
